The PERMANENT MOLDING team supervisor is responsible for coordinating the
work of the members of the day team, which includes people occupying
following functions :
- Mould Fitter
- Shellfish
With them, he ensures that the following production objectives are met:
- Meet product quality requirements according to customer demand
- Respect manufacturing costs
- Meet delivery deadlines
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support team members in their production activities
(replacement, assistance, training, etc.); - Resolve work-related problems and recommend measures to
improve productivity and product quality; - Make floor rounds to monitor progress and evaluation
production quality; - Daily update of “tracking sheets” in ERP software;
- Post indicators on the team bulletin board;
- Write production and other reports;
- Produce purchase orders for consumables in order to maintain a level
inventory; - Participate in hiring interviews for team technicians at the
need; - Train team members on their tasks, standards of performance and
and company policies; - Evaluate the performance of team members on an annual basis;
TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design tools and moulds according to customer requirements by
with the engineering department; - With members of the Engineering team, participate in the testing of
new tools; -
REQUIREMENTS
- Hold a Professional Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
materials, foundry or metallurgy; - At least 9 years’ experience in aluminum casting
particularly to the permanent mold; - Significant experience in technical team management;
- Experience with SolidWorks, ERP software and Microsoft Office required;
- Advanced French, English is an asset.
