Quality inspector
Responsibilities
– Inspect raw materials based on quality standards;
– Inspect production parts in series or by sampling (dimensional measurement, functionality by jigs, comparison to specifications, pressure tests, etc.) using appropriate methods;
– Coordinate laboratory tests (Spectrometer / traction machine / Durometer, CMM) according to quality standards
– Maintain records and enter data such as the number of defective products per day into the Fidelio database;
– Monitor the use of metrology equipment/tools and ensure calibration to ensure it is functional and well maintained and eliminate that which does not meet requirements;
– Prepare data for reports to the Director responsible for quality;
– Participation in the daily production meeting.
Skills required
– Experience as a quality inspector or similar position;
– Strong attention to detail and results-oriented approach;
– Responsible and trustworthy;
– Knowledge of spectrometer and traction machines (asset)
– In-depth knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies;
– Knowledge in the foundry (August);
– Quality control certification is an important asset (ISO 9001, etc.)
– Working knowledge of MS Office, Fidelio
